At least 18 Muslim worshippers were reported killed as armed bandits attacked a Mosque in Maza-Kuka Community, Mashegu Local Government areal of Niger State.
Consequently, the armed terrorists also kidnapped 13 persons during the operation, Daily Telescope, learnt.

The terrorists, Daily Telescope gathered invaded the Mosques in the early hours of Monday when the Muslim faithful were observing their morning prayers, opened fire at them, killing 18 persons and injured several others.

The attackers were said to have stormed the community on motorcycles, and went straight to the mosque and killed the innocent people.
One of the survivors, who pleaded for anonymity, told Daily Telescope that the terrorists have prior knowledge that most of the men were at the mosque as at the time they invaded the community.

“They came on motorcycles and immeditely they arrived, they went straight to the mosques and shot at the worshippers, thereby killing 18 persons, injuring several others before they finally kidnapped 13 people.” said the survivor.
The Niger state Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Wasiu Abiodun could not be reached on phone for comment.
