Officials of the commission led by its Chairman, Barrister Muhuyi Magaji during the operation, visited some major Filling Stations within the state metropolis in order to avert any attempt of hording the product.
Barrister Rimin Gado told Daily Telescope that his agency in collaboration with other relevant stakeholders deemed it necessary to launch the operation following series of complaints by members of the public.
“I have obtained a Court Order to embark on the operation for public interest. It will surprise you to know that most of the filling stations I have visited horded the product. This is to tell you that the current fuel scarcity in the state is deliberate and is as a result of hording the product by the marketers. So, I want to tell the marketers that they either bring out the fuel and sell same to the motorists or else they will face the wrath of the law.
