The Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested no fewer than youths, at a popular event center for engaging in same sex marriage.
It was gathered that the suspects in their early twenties were at the event centre to witness the aborted wedding of two suspected homosexuals Abba and Mujahid.

As luck ran out of the suspects, hisbah personnel attached to hisbah board headquarters Sharada Kano, were said to have stormed the scene before the commencement of the wedding rites ,where 15 females and 4 males were arrested.
However, confirming the incident, Commander General the board, Sheikh Harun Ibn Sina said the arrest was made after a report from a good samaritan about the same sex marriage.

He said the duo tagged as bride and groom, Abba and Mujahid, escaped immediately after the arrival of hisbah personnel at the wedding venue.
He said the organizer of the event, a 21-year-old Salma Usman was currently in hisbah custody adding that the board would intensify efforts to arrest Abba and Mujahid.

He said the board would hand over those in their custody to the police for necessary action as most of the ladies claimed to have been invited for the wedding from neighboring states.
He reiterated the agency’s commitment in eradicating all forms of social vices in the state.
