He said the call was necessary because Secondus is destroying the party for his own selfish interest.
Usman noted that Mr Secondus has not been running the party in a way that will make it bounce back to power in the next general elections come 2023.
According to the group, Secondus’s style of leadership had turned the party into chaos and disunity, urging him to resign within 48 hours.
“Secondus resignation from the party leadership will solve the challenges within the ranks and file members of the party.

The Coalition commended the River state Governor, Mr Nyesom Wike for being the viable opposition figure who is always protecting the good image of the party.
“We must identify ourselves with Mr Wike because of his concern for the party. He always mobilized the financial support for the party.
“He (Wike) is the rallying point of the opposition in Nigeria today. We will not allow him to leave PDP for the ruling party as a result of poor leadership of Mr Secondus”.
“People must sacrifice their personal interest for unity and progress to be our guide”.

The Group alleged that Secondus was running the party for personal gain, not for unity adding that his style of leadership made some governors and members of the National Assembly to defect to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Usman, who also blamed Secondus for not initiating reforms required to reposition the party, said the party Secretariat had been crippled.
