The Kano State government would establish new Industrial Layouts at the headquarters of the five newly created Emirates bin the state.
This is contained in a statement by the information officer, Karaye Emirate council,
Haruna Gunduwawa and made available to newsmen in Kano on Monday.

According to Gunduwawa, the Chairman, Kano State NNPC Gas Pipeline Project and Gas Industrialization Committee, Engr. Mu’azu Magaji made the disclosure when he paid a courtesy visit on the Emir of Karaye, Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakar II in his palace on Monday.
Engr. Magaji maintained that the Industrialization project had already commenced at Tamburawa.
The chairman of the committee said the existing industries would also be connected with gas Pipelines to enhance energy capacity and industrial productivity.

While describing gas as ‘current major global need, the Chairman said, people of Kano State would greatly benefit from the gigantic project when completed in the area of socio-economic development and security.
He further stated that gas pipeline project is a Federal Government’s project which would be supplied from Ajoakuta to Kaduna and to Kano.
He assured that the committee would soon return to select suitable site for the new Industrial Layouts in the Emirate.

Responding, the Emir applauded the Federal Government for its decision to connect Kano state with gas pipeline.
He also commended Kano State government over the approval for establishment of industrial areas at the headquarters of the Emirates adding that when completed, the project would impact positively on the people of the state.
