A statement from Emir Sanusi ll, issued by Danburan Kano, Alhaji Minir Sanusi, the emir is expected to lead the congregational prayer.
Consequently, nother statement from Emir Bayero, called on Kano residents to start moving to the mosque by 12:30pm.
It would be recalled that since the repeal of the Kano State Emirate Council Law 2019 by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf-led administration, which led to the sacking of five emirs of Kano, Gaya, Karaye, Rano and Bichi, Bayero and Sanusi have been claiming ownership of Kano emir tittle.
There has been four conflicting court orders secured by Emir Sanusi and Emir Bayero in their efforts to retain the tittle of Kano emirship. Two court orders obtained by Emir Bayero were granted by the different Federal High Courts, while those secured by Emir Sanusi were from a state High Court.

While the first court obtained by the dethroned Emir Bayero stopped Kano state government from reinstating Emir Sanusi until after the determination of the case filed before it by Alhaji Aminu Babba Danagundi who was stripped of his tittle of Sarkin Dawaki Babba by the repealed law, the second, order for the eviction of the reinstated Emir Sanusi from Gidan Rumfa Palace.
However, the first court order obtained by Emir Sanusi ll, order for the eviction of Emir Bayero from the Nassarawa Mini Palace, while the second, restrained the Police, DSS, Army and Civil defense from evicting emir Sanusi ll from Gidan Rumfa Palace.
Some residents, who spoke to Daily Telescope have expressed fears over the emirs plan to observe Juma’at prayer at the same mosque.
Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammad Giginyu, said authorities should do something to avert breaking down of law and order in the state, as according to him supporters of the two emirs might engage in physical fight when the emirs meet at the mosque.
“The emirs’ plan to attend Friday prayer at the Palace’s mosque may lead to chaos in Kano. The authorities should find a way of averting clash between supports of the two emirs,” he said.

Another resident of Kano, Malam Musa Inuwa called on the security agencies, particularly the Police, DSS, Army and Civil defense to intervene, saying “security agencies should find a way of convincing one of the emirs to go to another mosque in order to save the lives of the innocent people that might fall victims of the possible clash at the mosque.
“The two emirs should place the interest of their subjects above their personal interests. There is no way the two emirs can attend the same mosque without clash between their supporters.”
