A Chieftain of All Progressives Congress in Kano, Iliyasu Musa Kwankwaso, has cautioned Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf against probing Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje as
the move would expose the

Kwankwaso, who was a former Commissioner for Rural and Community Development under the administration of former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, stated this in a statement a copy of which was made available to The Punch on Monday.
He said, “The intention to probe Dr. Ganduje’ s administration is nothing but a political vendetta which definitely will lead to exposing the financial atrocities his political godfather, Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso committed while in office as governor of the state”.
“We all know that Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso and governor Yusuf have an ambition of defecting to the APC. The APC’s door is wide open for them to join.
“But, they should shelve all these negative moves, and the desperation of tarnishing the image and reputation of Dr. Ganduje. If they wish to decamp to the APC, they would be welcome on board with open hands.
“The setting up of probe panels by governor Yusuf, was a handiwork of Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso, which aimed to tarnish the good reputation of Dr. Ganduje. This ignoble move has failed on arrival.
“We are calling on governor Yusuf to stop dancing to the tune of Dr. Kwankwaso because the teeming masses of the state are well aware of alleged misappropriation of funds he committed during his tenure as governor of the state.

” I challenge former governor Rabiu Kwankwaso to be bold to swear by the holy Quran that he has a clean slate while in government in the state.
“If he Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso will be bold enough to say he has no skeleton in his cupboard during his tenure as the state governor, I, Iliyasu Kwankwaso will bring out the lists of contractors and companies the former governor had an alleged shady deal with.
“Let governor Yusuf know that whoever lives in a glass house shouldn’t throw stones, because the stone may eventually hit him,” the former commissioner said.
According to him, most residents of the state knew a lot about the alleged financial recklessness of Kwankwaso while his political godfather was in the helm of affairs as governor of the state,
He, therefore, called on governor Yusuf to be wary in succumbing to whatever advises, his mentor is directing him to do, because it would be suicidal to embark on a war one can not accomplished.
“We are not begging governor Yusuf not to probe Dr. Ganduje’ s administration, because constitutionally a sitting Governor, has right to probe his predecessor, but as I said, “He who lives in a glass house must not venture in throwing stone”
The former commissioner who reminded governor Yusuf the ruling of a Federal High Court that said only the Attorney General of the Federation or the EFCC has power to instigated probe on financial allegation, hence the need for governor Yusuf to look before he leap.
