The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kano State Command said it has concluded all the necessary security arrangements for the smooth and hitch free Eid-el Fitr celebrations in the State.
This is contained in a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Command, Ibrahim Abdullahi, a copy of which was made available to The Punch on Monday.
“To this end, the State Commandant, Mohammed Falala, has approved the deployment of over 3,200 officers and men across the state,” Abdullahi said.
According to him, the operatives drawn from Departments, Units, Area commands, Divisional Offices as well as Outposts will be drafted at different Eid grounds, recreational/event centres and strategic locations across Kano.
“They are to ensure maximum security and forestall possible breakdown of law and order before, during and after the sallah festivities.
“Thugs and miscreants are hereby warned to desist from any act capable of disrupting public peace; operatives of the Corps are always on ground and battle ready to deal in accordance with the law anybody caught breaching peace being enjoyed in the state,” Abdullahi said.
