Kano State Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has sympathized with victims of Kano building collapse which occurred today at the commercial area of Beirut Road in the State Metropolis.
The Governor who was represented by his deputy and All Progressives Congress Gubernatorial Candidate, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna during a sympathy visit, described the incident as a disaster.
He said the State Government would investigate the causes of the unfortunate incident.
The Governor also called on the people to vacate the site in order to allow the recue team and engineers led by staff of the State Ministry of Works to continue with search operation with a view to rescuing the victims of the incident.
He however, appreciated the way some construction firms and other emergency agencies have contributed towards rescuing the victims of the collapsed building.
