The Kano State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, State Working Committee, has also suspended ward party leaders who earlier suspended the National Chairman of the Party, Umar Abdullahi Ganduje from the Party.
Recall that the APC Ganduje ward in Dawkin Tofa Local Government, suspended the party’s National Chairman, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, but in a swift reaction, the party in.the Local Government thwarted the suspension and sacked those behind the suspension of Ganduje.
The APC Dawakin Tofa Local Government Chairman, Inusa Suleiman Dawanau, told newsmen on Monday shortly after suspending Ganduje that those behind the suspension of the party National Chairman were caught in anti party activities with their records of meetings with opposition exposed.
Adopting suspension of the ward’s APC leaders behind the suspension of the National Chairman of the Party, the State Working Committee said, “They have sanctioned them for six months and a special investigations panel has been set up to verify several allegations against them”.
According to the State Working Committee, the suspension of Ganduje is invalid and stands null and void and cannot stand.
Also reacting to the issue, the Kano State Chairman of the Party, Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, said that they have since adopted the decisions of the Local Government Party Leaders, and they are now investigating the Anti Party activities of the culprits.
“We have evidence of meetings between the State Government officials and those that suspended the National Chairman, and the State Working Committee has agreed to sanction them for six months and they will remain suspended until expiration of the period,” Abbas said.
Recall that ward legal adviser, Halliru Gwanjo had while addressing a news conference said they decided to suspend Dr Ganduje from the party due to the allegations leveled against him by Kano state Government.
