Recall that the immediate past administration of Governor Ganduje had accused the administration of former Governor Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso of leaving a liability of over N54.4 billion for the five kilometer road projects across the 44 LGAs.
Ganduje was also the deputy governor and the Commissioner for local government and Chieftaincy Affairs during the administration of Gov. Rabi’u Kwankwaso.
The Commissioner said the state government under the leadership of Governor Yusuf would complete the road projects in order to facilitate human and vehicular movements within the local government headquarters.
“The State Government will do everything possible within the limited resources to complete the road project so as to ease human and vehicular movements,” Engr. Ahmad said.
According to him, the State Government was also determined to reopen the 26 schools that were closed down by the immediate past administration of Governor Ganduje.
He said the State Government found it necessary to reopen the schools in view of their contribution to social and economic development of the state.
“Most of these schools used to provide job opportunities to our teeming unemployed women and youths,” the commissioner said.
He listed some of the schools to include Informatics Institute, Kura, Sports Institute, Karfi, Skills Acquisition Centre Gabasawa and Poultry Institute, Makoda, among others.
