Breaking: Gov Yusuf Declares 24 hours curfew, As Protest Turns Violent In Kano

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf has declared 24 hours curfew in the state after the nationwide protest turned violent in the state.
The governor made declaration at a press conference held at the Government House on Thursday.
“After careful consideration, we have come to terms that 24 hours curfew should be put in place to further prevent looting and vandalisation of businesses and killing of innocent citizens in the state.”

He further directed security agencies in the state to ensure full compliance with the directives with a view to restoring peace and harmony in the state.
Some.hoodlums went on rampage looting and vandalizing public and private properties under the name of hunger protest.
Several government officers within the Audu Bako Secretariat were looted and stores along zoo road and Tarauni areas were looted by the hoodlums.

Some protesters were shot by the police infront of the Government House when the angry youth attempted to gain a cess into the house.
The hunger protest, Daily Telescope observed turned violent allegedly when some hoodlums penetrated into the procession and started reading shops and public offices looting properties therein.
