Kidnappers of students and staff of College of Agriculture and Animal Sciences Bakura in Zamfara state have demanded a ransom of N350m, provost of the College, Alhaji Habib Mainasara, said.
Confirming the development today, the provost said the kidnappers have reached to the institution’s management and demanded for the amount as ransom.

Mainasara assured that the management of the college will continue with the negotiation until the captives were released.
Daily Telescope reports that gunmen stormed the college and kidnapped 15 students and five staff and same into their den.

However, two staff and a student escaped from the kidnappers, according to the Deputy Provost of the college, Alhaji Ali Atiku.
Meanwhile, Zamfara state Governor, Muhammad Bello Matawalle has assured the families of the kidnapped persons of government commitment in securing their release.
Governor Matawalle, in a statement issued by his media aide, Yusuf Gusau, said government will do everything within its power to rescue the abducted persons unhurt.
