The National President of the Patriotic Elders Forum of Nigeria, Dr Bature AbdulAziz has lambasted those calling for the suspension of the swearing-in of the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
AbdulAziz explained that calling for the suspension of the swearing-in of the President-elect was like calling for anarchy.

Speaking to newsmen in Kano, Saturday, the President of the Elders Forum said some people were hellbent on ensuring that the inauguration of the President-Elect was suspended not knowing that the action could plunge the country into crisis.

“Why are you calling for the suspension of swearing-in? What you are asking for, does it have any position in the law or in Nigeria’s history?” he queried.

He said the law clearly provided that the President-elect or Governor-elect or whosoever can still take an oath of office while the matter drags in the court.
“So, why are some people killing themselves in the name of trying to stop the swearing-in, this is baseless, they are speaking out of ignorance,” he said.
