The Kano State Police command has arrested eight suspects for various offenses ranging from unlawful possession of Permanent Voters Cards, causing mischief by fire, inciting disturbances, causing grievous hurt and theft.
The suspects had since been charged to court.

This is contained in a statement by the command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna on Monday.
SP Haruna said the success recorded was part of CP Mamman Dauda’s anti-crime strategies and sustainable stakeholders engagements to ensure peaceful electioneering processes as the festive periods of the fourth quarter of the year 2022 set in.
He gave the identity of Aminu Ali of Yautar Arewa, Gabasawa LGA of Kano State as a suspect apprehended for unlawful possession of voters cards and has been charged to Magistrate Court 70, No-man’s-land Kano.
The PPRO further identified another suspect Zailani Adamu of Dadin Kowa Village, Doguwa LGA of Kano state for Inciting Disturbance and has also been charged to Magistrate Court 24,
Gyadi-Gyadi Kano.

“Shafi’u Abdulrahman (Kabesi) of Gawuna Quarters, Nassarawa LGA Kano is another suspect that was also apprehended for Criminal Conspiracy, Causing Grievous Hurt, Mischief and Theft, and charged to Court 52, No-man’s-land Kano” SP Haruna added.
The PPRO further identified Abdullahi Usaini, Sa’idu Umar and Rabi’u Muhd as suspects all from Falali Village of Takai LGA, Kano apprehended for Criminal Conspiracy, Causing Hurt and Mischief by Fire and were all charged to Magistrate Court 70, No-man’s-land Kano state.
He further gave the identity of another suspect, Isyaku Yusuf of Hausawa Quarters Kano for Defamation of Character and has also been charged to Upper Shari’a Court Brigade Quarters Kano state.
“Shafi’u Abdulrahman of Gawuna Quarters Kano is another suspect that was apprehended for Criminal Intimidation and Inciting Disturbance and has also been charged to Magistrate Court 70, No-man’s-land Kano,” he added.

SP Haruna noted that the State Commissioner of Police appreciates the good people of Kano State for their continuous support, encouragement and cooperation.
