The statement titled:INDIA AND HINDU RELIGIOUS VIOLENCE, called on the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, to rescind his Neo-Nazi ideology and embrace democracy, as envisioned by India’s founding fatthers and as a matter of urgency take concrete steps in putting an end to the violence while admonishing his citizens of all religious beliefs, to shun violence and live peace with one another.

“India claims to be a democratic secular State, but in the actual sense it is an
undemocratic Hindu supremacist State. There is no other modern state in the
world today that oppresses over 200 million of its citizens solely on the basis of
their religious beliefs, with brutal determination to strip them of their rights to exist as human beings.
“India’s over 200 million Muslims, ranks that country as the second largest in
terms of number of Muslims in the World; it is therefore perplexing how anyone
can think of eliminating such a population, representing one in every Six Muslims
in the World!
It urged the Indian High Commissioner to Nigeria to register Nigerian Muslims
disappointment over the inhuman way the authorities are handling the pogrom against Indian Muslims.

The Forum, however, advised Indian Muslims to use every constitutional window available to them to seek for redress on the excesses committed against them by Hindu extremists.
“They should hold on to their faith and avail the rest of the Indian population with the benefits of Islamic justice, which restrains Muslims from over reacting against all provocations,” the statement added.
