NSCDC Decorates 463 Newly Promoted Personnel In Kano

Date:

The Kano State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, has decorated 463 newly promoted officers and men with new ranks.

The ceremony took place at the state headquarters of corps on Thursday where
the NSCDC’s Zone N, Zonal Commander, Kano, ACG Haruna Bala Zurmi was in attendance.

This is contained in a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Command, Ibrahim Abdullahi, a copy of which was made available to our reporter on Friday.

In an address shortly after the decoration, the State Commandant of the Corps, Mohammed Falala, charged the newly promoted staff to “belt up” as they will now be assigned with new challenging responsibilities having got one level up in their service career.

Falala noted that the promotion comes with additional burden, and that officers and men should now see the gesture as a wake up call for positive attitudinal change for optimum and better service delivery to the public.

“I want to remind you that promotion comes with additional burden, so you are expected to consider the gesture as a wake up call for more commitment and sacrifice,” Falala said.

In his remark, the Zone N, Zonal Commander, Haruna Zurmi, enjoined the elevated officers to always do justice in the discharge of their duties, while also noting that to whom much is given much is expected.

The event was also attended by relatives and well wishers of the officers who stormed the command to celebrate and rejoice with their loved ones.
