I’m Still Kano LP Guber Candidate, says Bashir I Bashir

Date:

The Kano Gubernatorial Candidate of the Labour Party, Engr. Bashir I. Bashir, has debunked the rumour being peddled in some quarters that he has defected back to All Progressives Congress.

The controversial former Commissioner of Works in the State, Engr. Muazu Magaji, a had circulated on his Facebook page, that himself, Engr. Bashir I. Bashir and others have defected back to APC.

However, in a quick reaction to the speculation, the Gubernatorial Candidate of the Labour Party in Kano, Engr. Bashir said, “Muazu Magaji was nothing but a confused Person who cannot define exactly what he wants in his life”.

Engr. Bashir described the report that he defected to APC as a figment of lies, concoction and attempt to smear his hard earned names and reputation.

He said, “The picture circulated by Muazu Magaji was one taken two years ago when alongside Jaafar Sani and two other persons under the umbrella of Kano Non Partisan group were searching for a way out in their Political lives and the future of the State”.

Speaking in a telephone interview, Engr. Bashir, reminded that the same Muazu Magaji was detained some time ago for lying against Governor Abdullahi Ganduje who was so good to him for appointing him on several positions including a State Commissioner.

Bashir I. Bashir said in frustration, “How can this person be taken seriously, when everybody knows that he has some undefined problems with his life”.

“Just yesterday I spent two hours doing a teleconference with the Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates of our Party, discussing modalities on how to win not only Kano but the entire North, how then somebody from nowhere could lie to me?,” he inquired.
