Daredevil hackers have taken over the official Facebook page of the Kano State Hisbah Board, releasing and posting inappropriate and explicit contents.
The incident which happened on Wednesday, has continued to attracted condemnation from members of the public over the ugly trend.

The Commander General of the Board, Sheikh Aminu Daurawa, who confirmed the hack to newsmen, said the board had addressed the situation.
“Kano State Hisbah Board is aware that its Facebook page has been hacked and inappropriate things are being shared. On behalf of the board, I call on people to help solve this problem.

He assured the public that the board’s ICT department is actively working to restore the page and is engaged in discussions with Meta to resolve the issue.
He urged the community to report the hacked page to Meta in English to help prevent further dissemination of inappropriate content.

The Head of ICT at the Hisbah Board, Sani Zailani noted that the account has experienced previous hacks and that Meta has been contacted regarding the latest breach, adding that Meta has pledged to resolve the issue within 48 hours.
He expressed appreciation for the support and concern shown by the public, emphasizing ongoing efforts to recover the page and regain control.
