The All Niger Delta Ethnic Nationalities and the Northern First Initiative Joint Group, have condemned in totality the present spate of insecurity in the country.
They asked President Muhammadu Buhari to redouble efforts towards ensuring the security of lives and properties of Nigerian masses.

The group in a Communique jointly signed by the Niger Delta Ethnic Nationalities President, Comrade Kinsley Benedict Essein and Comrade Yusuf Alhassan and issued to Newsmen in Kano on Thursday, called for the immediate prosecution of all those found allegedly funding insecurity in Nigeria, irrespective of their social, economic or political status.
“That we the members of these two organisations categorically believe in the unity and indivisibility of Nigeria as nation and pledged to do anything humanly possible to ensure its oneness.”
The group further called on all the multinational oil companies working in the Niger Delta region to always put first the Corporate interest of their host communities taking into cognisance the kind of environmental effects of their activities on those host communities.

“We are strongly calling on government at all the three tiers, to put more effort towards creating enabling environment for employment opportunities for the teeming unemployed youths. Let our education system focuses more on entrepreneurship, where requisite skills training for wealth creation will be key to our sustainable development and growth.”
The two groups also condemned in totally the activities of drug pushers in the two regions and Nigeria at large. As we strongly believe that illicit substances abuse are the root cause for the current insecurity challenges facing Nigeria generally. And we the members of these two organisations will extend the hands of assistance to all the relevant agencies in the war against this nefarious activities and its perpetrators.
“That come 2023 general elections, We the members of these two organisations agreed that North First lnitiative will strongly support any credible presidential candidate from the South-South geopolitical zone under whichever political party such a candidate emerges, while his running mate must be a Northerner.”
“And in the event a credible presidential candidate emerged from the North, under whichever political party, All Niger Delta group, Shall support such a candidate with all its might and power, while his running mate Must be not only southerner, but a person from the South-South geopolitical zone.”

“That we the members of these two organisations will only support a fearless, credible, healthy and very energetic candidate comes 2023. A candidate with diverse experience, a person with good track record of achievements, somebody that is not a tribalist, straight forward person, somebody who can be acceptable by all Nigerians.”
“That we the members of these two organisations are calling strongly on those concerned that We will Not accept the imposition of unpopular presidential candidate on Nigerians come 2023 general elections,” the communique said.
