Governor Yusuf’s meeting with President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Monday was coming amid growing rumours and speculations of his possible defection to the All Progressives Congress.
The Kano State APC Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas, had on Monday said Governor Yusuf may likely receive his APC electronic membership card today (Tuesday) when he returns from Abuja.
Abbas made the disclosure while addressing ad-hoc staff at a training programme on the party’s e-registration ahead of the flag off of the e-registration exercise in the state.
The statement said the meeting, though closed door, was used to formally brief the President on pressing challenges and opportunities in Kano, particularly the worsening insecurity in some local government areas.
