Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has commiserated with the Vice Chancellor of Federal University of Kashere, Professor Umaru Pate over the demise of his mother, late Hajiya Hussaina Pate.
Late Hajiya Hussaina passed on Wednesday after a brief illness in Yola, the Adamawa state capital, at the age of 80.

Governor Yahaya in a statement by his spokesman, Ismaila Uba Misilli, described late Hajiya Hussaina as an upright mother and family pillar whose life was marked by kindness and wisdom.
He conveyed the sympathies of the government and people of the state to Professor Pate and his family over the loss of his mother.

The governor prayed Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and reward her good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus.
Meanwhile, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), has extended its heartfelt condolences to Professor Pate and his family over the demise of his mother.

A statement by the state council chairman, Farouk Mu’azu Gombe, said the late Hussaina has left behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to her family.
“We share in the grief and offer our prayers and support and recognise the immense impact Hajiya Hussaina Pate had on her community and the lives of those around her,” he said.
