A special Delegation of the House of Representatives, under the leadership of the Former Majority leader and Chairman of Northern regional Caucus of the House, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, visited Maiduguri, Tuesday to sympathize and commiserate with the Government and people of the State over the recent floods disaster in the state.
The Delegation on behalf of the Speaker, Tajuddeen Abbas and the entire members of the house, donated the sum of N100 million in support of those affected by the flood disaster.

Speaking through a release he Personally signed, the leader of the delegation, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, commended President Bola Tinubu for his prompt and swift response to the plight of the people of Borno State by assuring Federal Government’s support to the state government as well as the victims.

“We also pledged the National Assembly’s readiness to liaise with the Federal Government to come up with a legislative framework or any possible budgetary intervention to help the state governments to address the impacts of flood disaster in the country.
Doguwa also notes that while in Maiduguri, the delegation visited the Shehu of Borno in his palace where they condoled him over lives lost as a result of the disaster.
