The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kano State Command, has deployed no fewer than 3,100 personnel to enhance security at various Eid praying grounds, recreational centers and market places during the Sallah festivities in the state.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, confirmed the deployment of the personnel in a statement on Thursday.

“The NSCDC Kano State Command under the able leadership of Commandant Shafi’u Abdulmumini has concluded all security arrangements in relation to the deployment to cover Eid praying grounds, recreational/event centres, markets during Sallah festivities in Kano.

“The state commandant has already approved the deployment of over 3,100 operatives drawn from various departments/units, area commands as well as divisional offices across the state,” he said.
According to him, the deployed personnel have been mandated to ensure watertight security before, during and after the Eid-el Kabir celebrations in the state.
“As the lead agency in protecting and safeguarding critical national assets and infrastructure, special security consideration has been given to securing public utilities and most importantly to protecting lives and property of the citizens,” he said.
The Command, therefore, warned miscreants to desist and shun all forms of criminal acts during and after the festive period as the Corps is ready to deal decisively with criminals with recalcitrant behaviors in accordance with the law of the land.
