An associate of President Muhammadu Buhari, in Kano, Alhaji Abdulmajid Danbulki has cautioned President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu against any move to form an alliance with the NNPP presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, Sen.Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, so as not to cause a problem for the APC in the North.
Danbulki, who is popularly known as Commander, made the call while addressing a news conference in Kano on Thursday.

Recall that there were reports of a recent meeting held between the President-elect and Kwankwaso in Paris, France.
He warned that any political alliance between Tinubu and Kwankwaso would also not augur well for the President-elect and APC.
“We are making this statement because reports reaching us indicate that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu had met with Rabiu Kwankwaso in Paris, France, preparatory to allegedly bring him into the APC, and even give him and his followers some ministerial and other appointments.

“We, therefore, want to state categorically that if Bola Tinubu brings Kwankwaso into the APC and goes ahead to appoint him and his followers into his Government, we will react in a manner that will not augur well for the APC in the North,” he further warned.
According to Commander, the President-elect does not need Kwankwaso in the APC as there are notable stalwarts of the party in Kano and other parts of the North that would competently promote his interest and that of the party in the region.
“As members of the APC in Kano State and the North, we worked hard to ensure the victory of the APC and Bola Tinubu in the last general elections and we remain committed and competent enough to continue to ensure the success of the party in future polls.
“Bringing someone like Kwankwaso into the party, therefore, will amount to a slight on us, because we will feel like our efforts are not being appreciated.
“We, therefore, advise the President-elect to stop forthwith, any efforts to associate with Kwankwaso either for the purpose of giving him appointments or bringing him into the APC, or both, in the interest of the party.
“As members of the APC, we have worked very hard from its inception to nurture it to greatness and to ensure its success in elections. We will frown at any move that could breed disharmony in the party,” he concluded.
