A group of Nigerians who conducted business with a Chinese Company based in China, Plusp Group of Companies Ltd, situated in Lanshan District, Linyin Sahadan, China, has petitioned the Chinese embassy seeking refund of $218,280 over breach of trade agreement.
The money was paid to the Company in China to supply some products to the group in Nigeria five years ago, but the products have yet to be supplied.

The group of businessmen under the aegis of Amalsco Industries said while in China, they entered into trade agreement with an agent of the Plusp Group of Companies, One Mr. Zhu on 7th January, 2018, where they purchased some products from the Company and paid the sum of $218,280 cash, but five years after the payment, the company had yet to supply the products.
The petition signed by the Nigeria Business Group link man, Alhaji Ibrahim Inuwa, a copy of which was made available to our reporter on Wednesday, noted that this is not the first time they conducted Businesses with China.
“This is not the first time we are doing business in China and it was always successful without any hitches but this company, Plusp Group of Companies, changed the narratives some five years ago,” the petition said.

According to the businessmen, they went to China over three times on the matter but the Company kept promising that they will supply the products but up till now nothing was sent to them, while Mr. Zhu was not responding to their calls.
“That is why we petition the Chinese Embassy through the Commercial Affairs of China here in Nigeria and also petition the Nigeria Embassy in China, for them to jointly trace the Company to either compelled them to supply us with our goods or refund our money,” Inuwa said.
Inuwa explained that they also copied the petition to the Kano Council of Traders and Entrepreneurs union with a view to facilitating the refund of their money as the $218,280 was for the group.
He said, “We are enjoying excellent trade relationship with China, we have never been betrayed.our businesses were so smooth not until we go into trade agreement with this company through their agent Mr. Zhu”.

“We hope that the Chinese embassy and indeed the Chinese Government will intervene in the matter to safeguard their hard-earned integrity and image, by tracing and compelling the company to refund our money. We have all the documents with regards to the agreement”.
The traders also appealed to the Nigeria Embassy in China to cooperate with the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria to ensure that they get their money back, promising to provide all the necessary documents involved in the matter if required.
