A reliable source at the DSS State command, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed the arrest of the two local governments chairmen.

“Yes, they have arrested Faizu Alfindiki, the Chairman of Kano Municipal and Bashir Abdullahi Kutama, Chairman of Gwarzo Local Governments, over allegations of sponsoring highly placed political thuggery in the state, culminating to attacks and subsequent killings.

“The DSS has also placed Khalid Ishaq Diso, Chairman of Gwale Local Government, wanted on the same allegations, while one Dr Sabiu, an SSA to the Governor, was also arrested by the Security on the same allegations.
