The Kano State Government on Wednesday suspended the order banning tricycle riders from operating on some major roads within the Kano metropolis in the state until further notice.
Recall that the state government gave the order on Monday that it banned tricyclist riders from operating on some major roads from today (Wednesday).
The managing Director of state Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA), Bappa Dan’agundi announced the suspension of the order while addressing newsmen in his office on Wednesday evening.
According to him, the decision to suspend the order was informed by the public outcry on the order and the total compliance displayed by the riders.
“We suspended the order because of the total compliance displayed by the riders and the public outcry over the order,” Dan’agundi said.
