The Emir of Gaya in Kano State, Dr. Aliyu Ibrahim has promised that the Emirate Council would offset the medical bills of the victims of the Gezawa mosque bomb attack in the state.
The monarch announced the decision on Thursday when he visited the victims who are currently receiving medical attention at the Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital in Kano.
The traditional ruler who sympathised with the injured, asked them to consider what happened to them as an act of God.
In a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Emirate, Auwal Musa Yola, said the Emir prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
He also prayed to God to grant the deceased the highest level of Jannah (Paradise). and their families have the fortitude to bear the huge loss.
The Emir had also visited the village in the Gezawa local government area where he sympathized and condoled with the families of the injured and the deceased.
The death toll had so far risen 11 while no fewer than 17 other critically injured victims are currently receiving treatment at the hospital.
Meanwhile, the Emir of Kano has paid a similar visit to the victims at the hospital where he extended his heartfelt sympathy to the victims and prayed for their quick recovery.
