The Kano State Hisbah Board otherwise known as (Sharia police) has arrested five men suspected of engaging in homosexuality at Sheka Barde area in the Kumbotso local government area of the state..
This is contained in a statement by the Public Relations Officer of board and issued to newsmen in Kano, today.

According to him, the Commander General of the board, Sheik Harun Ibn-Sina ordered the arrest of the suspects following reports from residents of the area.
“All the suspects who are above 20 years of age, were apprehended on 11th July 2021 during a special raid in the area.

“The commander-general expressed outrage over the alleged actions of the suspects who are youths,” the PRO said.
Ibn-Sina commended members of the community and security stakeholders for their cooperation and support in cracking down on corruption in the state.

He said as soon as investigation into the matter was concluded, the suspects would be charged to court for appropriate prosecution.
The commander-general urged youths to shun unwholesome practices as they were leaders of tomorrow.
