Unknown gunmen in the early hours of today (Sunday) killed the Village Head of Maigari in Rimin Gado local government area of Kano State, Alhaji Dahiru Abba.
The newly appointed Permanent Secretary of Judiciary in Kano State, Alhaji Sanusi Abbas, who is also a family Member to the deceased, confirmed the incident in Kano on Sunday.

According to him, the late Village Head is also a biological father to the incumbent Chairman of Rimin Gado LGA, Barrister Munir Dahiru Maigari.

It was gathered that the hoodlums stormed his residence in the early of today (Sunday) where they inflicted various degrees of injuries on his body and later shot him dead.
He further noted that the funeral prayer will be conducted at his residence by 10am in Maigari Village of Rimin Gado LGA.

“May his soul rest in Aljannatur Firdausi,” The Permanent Secretary concluded.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in Kano, SP Abdullahi Haruna said he was not aware of the incident but promised to brief the press after getting brief from the Divisional Police Officer of the area.
