Eid-el Kabir: Kano closes schools for one week

Kano State Government has declared Sunday, 18th to Sunday, 25th July, 2021 as Sallah break for schools in the state.

This state’s Commissioner of Education, Malam Muhammad Sanusi Sa’id Kiru made the disclosure today while briefing newsmen.

The commissioner urged parents and guardians to take their wards in Boarding schools from Saturday, 17th July and return them back on Sunday 25th July 2021.

Kiru added students of Day Schools are expected to resume studoes on Monday 26th July 2021.

However, all SS lll students of Barding schools, who are currently writing their NECO SSCE examination are exempted from the one week Sallah break.

The commissioner assured that government has made necessary arrangements to make the students comfortable during the sallah festivities in their respective schools.

“Government will provide the students with cows to be slaughtered for them. This,gesture will make the students feel at home during Sallah celebrations,” he said.
