BREAKING: Ex-Deputy Senate President Ibrahim Mantu is dead
Former Deputy Senate President, Senator Nasiru Ibrahim Mantu is dead.

Senator Mantu died at a Diff Hopital Abuja today around 2am after a brief illness.
The deceased, according to a family Source, who craved for anonymity, spent nine days in isolation at home before he was taken to hospital.
“The former deputy senate president died at about 2am today after nine days of sickness and isolation at his personal residence.

The late legislator fell sick about nine days ago and was receiving treatment at home, but when the family notice no sign of improvement, he was then rushed to the hospital where he eventually passed on.
The funeral prayer would be held today in Abuja, however, it was not certained whether the late Senator would be buried in Abuja or his home town.
Late Mantu was one of the notable politicians in the nation’s political arena since the return of democracy in 1999.

He was elected Deputy Senate President under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), a position he held till 2007 when he failed to secure a ticket to return to the senate.
Late Senator Mantu hails from Gindiri District in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.
