The Kano State Hisba Board has arrested no fewer than 25 persons including pimps for allegedly organising same sex marriage in Hotoro area of Kano metropolis.
The Deputy Commander of board, Sheikh Mujahedeen Aminudeen, confirmed the arrest of the suspects in a statement, a copy of which was made available to newsmen on Sunday.

According to him, the suspects, comprising 18 males and seven females, were apprehended at the Fatima Event Centre located along Hotoro bye pass in Kano metropolis on Saturday.
“Today Saturday, 25th October 2025, we got a report that some people are allegedly organizing same sex marriage.

“Our personnel stormed the Fatima Event Centre, the venue of the illegal event and we successfully arrested 25 persons, 18 males and Seven females,” he said.
He explained that the suspects including the groom, who hailed from sheka, Yar gaya, kofar Nasarawa and other places, were arrested in the event centre.

The Deputy Commander warned that the board would fold its arms and allow pimps and other undesirable elements to tarnish the good image and reputation of Kano state.
“We are calling on members of the public to support the board by reporting immoral activities in the state. The board will continue to raid such places that promote immorality”, he added.
