The Kano State Government has inaugurated a 14-member committee to coordinate activities for the forthcoming celebration marking the third year anniversary of the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
A statement on Saturday by the Press Secretary, office of the SSG, Musa Tanko Muhammad, said the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Faruk Ibrahim inaugurated the committee on behalf of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
“The 14-member committee is tasked with organizing a befitting programme that will highlight the achievements and milestones recorded by the present administration within its first three years in office,” the statement said.
Speaking during the inauguration ceremony held at the Cabinet Office Conference Hall, the SSG emphasized the need for a comprehensive and impactful celebration capable of attracting prominent personalities from within and outside Kano State.
He noted that the administration has successfully delivered on a significant number of its campaign promises, particularly in critical sectors that directly affect the lives of the people.
The SSG who also serves as Chairman of the committee, stated that the anniversary celebration would provide an opportunity to showcase the giant strides of the Gida Gida administration in areas such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, environment, rural development, and good governance.
He further stressed the importance of adequate publicity and documentation of the event, revealing that a detailed commemorative brochure capturing the administration’s achievements would be produced as part of efforts to preserve the memories of the landmark celebration for future reference.
The Permanent Secretary, Research, Evaluation and Political Affairs, Umar Muhammad Jalo will serve as the Secretary of the committee.
The committee has been charged with ensuring a successful and memorable anniversary celebration that will reflect the administration’s commitment to people-oriented governance and sustainable development across Kano State.
