Despite a court order, the Kano State House of Assembly on Monday at its sitting recommended to Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje to sack the suspended Chairman of the state Anti-corruption Commission, Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado.
Recall that a Kano State High Court on Friday restrained the state House of Assembly from taking any further action in the ongoing House investigation on the complaints against the suspended chairman of the State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission, Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado.

The court directed that the State Assembly and other defendants in the suit be served through the state Attorney General who is also a defendant in the case.
However, the Assembly despite heavy rainfall earlier on Monday allegedly instructed the security agents at the gate not to allow anybody to serve any court order on it.
At the sitting presided by the House Speaker, Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari, passed five resolutions on the issue.

Addressing journalists shortly after plenary, the Majority Leader, Labaran Abdul Madari, said the House committee investigating the case against the suspended Chairman, was given two weeks to conduct its finding which it has done and report submitted.
Madari said the report of the committee was accepted after debate on the floor and the House adopted the use of section 6 of the Anti-corruption law 2010 that empowers the house to recommend to the governor the sacking of the suspended chairman.
He said the second resolution was for the state police commissioner to arrest the suspended Chairman for presenting the fake medical report to the House and prosecute him
‘’The Accountant employed by the suspended chairman that is on grade level 04 should be dealt with in accordance with civil service rule,’’the majority leader said.

‘’The fourth resolution was that the rejected accountant posted to the commission by the state Accountant General should resume work at the commission’’
The majority leader also said an ad-hoc committee has been instituted to probe the financial activities of the commission since 2015 to date.
