The opposition New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano State has condemned in totality, the attack on Barr. Muhuyi Magaji’s community home and the residents of other opposition NNPP members in Rimingado community by Political thugs allegedly sponsored by the ruling All Progressives Congress who were on rampage last night.
The Thugs invaded the community at 7:00pm after the NNPP state campaign team departed the area who were in Rimingado for a rally.

The NNPP wish to sympathise with the residents of the community over the unfortunate incidence that left many injured and properties vandalised as part of APC’s deliberate attempts to scare away the voters ahead of 2023 general elections.

In a statement issued by Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the Chief Spokesperson of the NNPP State Campaign Council, described the attack as barbaric, inhumane to the dignity of the good people of the Rimingado.
Sanusi Bature added that no amount of pressure will deter the NNPP from taking necessary action against victimisation of innocent citizens on the orders of government officials who are supposed to protect the lives and properties of the general public.

“We are lucky, the police have arrested one of perpetrators of the attack, who on the process of his arrest injured a police officer of Rimingado division”
The Spokesperson also said, NNPP would ensure that justice is given to the victims and that the suspects are brought to book.
