The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba, has directed the newly promoted Assistant Inspectors-General of Police (AIGs) to report to their respective zonal commands and formations with immediate effect.
It will be recalled that 24 newly promoted AIGs were on Monday decorated with their new ranks by the IGP.

IGP Baba, while decorating the newly promoted Commissioners of Police at Force headquarters in Abuja, today, directed the newly promoted AIGs to resume duty at the respective posts with immediate effect.
The police boss further charged them to use their vast experience to tame current security challenges in their respective areas of jurisdiction.
he then announced the posting of AIG Bala Ciroma to Zone 7, Abuja; while AIG Zaki M. Ahmed SPU FHQ Abuja; AIG Usman Belel, FCID Annex Lagos: AIG John Amadi, Maritime and AIG Adeleke Adeyinka Zone 9 Umuahia;

He added that AIG Muri Umar Musa was posted to Zone 13 Ukpo-Dunukofia Awka and AIG Mustapha Dandaura will be in-charge of Zone 4 Makurdi, Benue state.
Others are AIG Dasuki D. Galadanchi, who will man the CTU FHQ Abuja; while AIG Okon Etim Ene, Zone 17 Akure; AIG Usman D. Nagogo, Border Patrol FHQ Abuja and AIG Lawal Jimeta Tanko is to serve as the Commandant POLAC Wudil, Kano.
AIG Adebola Emmanuel will be in-charge of Longe, DOPS FHQ Abuja; while AIG Musa Adze will man the Investment FHQ Abuja and Philip Sule Maku will be in-charge of DICT FHQ Abuja.
