The Senator representing Kano Central, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau has vowed to personally pursue the case of gruesome murder of a 5-year-old school girl, Haneefa Abubakar, who was murdered by her teacher.
In a message delivered to the family, a copy made available to pressmen, Senator Shekarau said he will closely follow the case to ensure that Justice is served.

Daily Telescope, however, learnt that the former governor had already sent a delegation to the family of the deceased on the matter.

A source close to the senator confided in Daily Telescope that “Senator Sekarau is willing to do everything that is needed to secure justice for late Haneefa. Even if it warrants sponsoring lawyers to stand for the innocent little girl, Malam is ready for that.
“Senator Shekarau is seriously touched by the gruesome murder of late Haneefa and is ready to do everything within the ambit of law to secure justice for her.

“A heartless murder like this must not be swept under the carpet and vowed to follow it to its logical conclusion.”
Senator Shekarau prayed to Almighty Allah to give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
