“I defeated Senator Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya at the poll with 127,000 votes, yet because he is contented with the will of God, he went to the Tribunal challenging my victory. We thanked God the truth has finally prevailed even at the Tribunal.

“I thanked our National Leader, Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, our Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf and all those that have directly or indirectly contributed to my success at the poll and the Tribunal.

”I will continue with all the  projects I have started for the benefit of my constituents and the state in general. For my constituents I said big thank you to all of you.”

Senator Sumaila, therefore, urged the people of Kano South to remain calm and continue to support him in his effort to improve their lives.
