The Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf on Monday forwarded six names to the State Assembly as Commissioner nominees.
The speaker of the House, Ismail Falgore announced this on Monday while reading the governor’s letter.
The nominees include, Ibrahim Abdullahi Wayya, Shehu Wada Sagagi, Dr. Dahiru Mohammad Hashim, Dr Isma’il Dan Maraya, Gaddafi Sani Shehu and Abdulkadir AbdulSalam.
The nominees are expected to appear before the State Assembly on Tuesday for screening.
Recall that on Thursday, Governor Yusuf had in a major cabinet reshuffle dropped his Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Abdullahi Bappa Bichi and scrapped the office of the Chief of Staff.
He also sacked five members of his cabinet to including Ibrahim Jibril Fagge of Finance Ministry, Ladidi Ibrahim Garko, Culture and Tourism; Baba Halilu Dantiye, Information and Internal Affairs, Shehu Aliyu Yammedi, Special Duties and Abbas Sani Abbas, Rural and Community Development.
