Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano state has paid condolence visit to the families of 18 Doguwa flood victims and gave Two Hundred Thousand Naira (N200,000) to each of the victim’s families.
This is contained in a statement by Mr Abba Anwar, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor and issued to newsmen in Kano on Sunday.

According to Anwar, Ganduju announced the donation when he visited the families of the victims in Doguwa town, headquarters of Doguwa LGA of the state.

The Governor, who was in the company of the House Leader, House of Representatives, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, party leaders and elders, some members of the State Executive Council, Advisers and other top government functionaries prayed to Almighty God to give the families of the deceased the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
He also prayed for the repose of the souls of those who died as a result of the downpour which resulted into flood that was not witnessed long before now.

“When the information of this sad tragedy reached us we were seriously shocked. May Allah Forgive the victims, who died as martyrs, being washed away by flood. May He give them the ultimate reward of Jannatul Fiddaus,”.
The families of the victims expressed their appreciation to the governor and his entourage and prayed for success of his administration.
