Hundreds of shops have been destroyed following a fire out break at Sokoto Timber market, Daily Telescope can report.
Daily Telescope gathered that the fire started in night on Monday when most of the businessmen closed for the day.

Although there no life was lost, however, goods worth millions of naira have been lost to the inferno.

As at the time of filing in this report, the causes of the inferno could not be ascertained by the officials of the state Fire Service Department.
When this reporter visited the market, the victims of the fire incident were seen clearing the affected shops.
