The Kano State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress has called on the immediate past Governor of the state, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to disregard the invitation extended to him by the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission over alleged Dollar Allah ration leveled against him.
Speaking to Daily Telescope on phone, the state Chairman of the Party, Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas said the invitation was politically motivated, noting that the chairman has no moral right to invite the former governor.

Abbas lamented that “The whole thing has been politicized by the chairman of the commission. As card carrying member of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) everybody knows he is doing what he is doing just to please his masters.

“If the chairman of the commission is really concern about the issue of Kano and its people why can he continue with some of the vital cases he has started investigating before the coming of the present administration. There are many pending cases before the commission a bulk of which he started before his suspension.
“He has started investigating the former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi and the issue of 5-kilometer road project before he was suspended. Why can he continue and finish these cases if he really concerns about Kano and it’s people? Why did he abandoned these and many more important cases and picked this particular case that is already before a court?

“This is to tell you that the man has a motive and personal interest about this case because of his political difference with the former governor and that’s why we asked the former governor to disregard the invitation,” he argued.
Abbas added that the former governor as law abiding citizen is ever ready to honor any genuine and sincere invitation whenever it is extended to him by any reputable organization on any issues that concerns his administration.
