Court Orders Temporary Halt On Nassarawa Mini Palace Renovation, Transfers Case

Date:

The Kano State High Court Presided over by Chief Judge, Justice Dije Aboki has re-affirmed its earlier interim order issued on September 13, 2024, restraining the 15th Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero from restructuring, refurbishing or renovating of Nassarawa Mini Place, pending the hearing and determination of motion on notice.

Recall that the Kano State government and two other Applicants approached the court seeking to restrain the Defendant from making any renovation in the Nassarawa Mini Palace.

When the case resumed on Thursday for the hearing of the Originating Motion, counsel of the Applicants told the court that the Defendant was neither filed any processes nor represented in the court.

Consequently, Justice Aboki reassigned the case to Kano State High Court 15, presided by Justice Sanusi Ma’aji, now that judges have returned from their annual vacation.

She ordered that hearing notice to be served on the Defendant.
