The four-year-old Hanan Ahmad Mande has regained freedom after payment of N5m ransom to her abductors.
A source close to family of the girl, who preferred for anonymity, confided in Daily Telescope that little Hanan was released today after her abductors collected N5m ransom from the family of the captive.

“Hanan was picked by her uncle along Tsafe-Gusau road today after negotiation between the abductors and family was sealed. The man that negotiated with Hanan’s Uncle informed him that he was not one of the terrorists that abducted the girl.
“The man said he paid some money to the original abductors of the little girl before they agreed to release her to him with a view to continuing with negotiation with her parents.
“He also claimed that original abductors have told him that Hanan’s father is a reach man, hence he should negotiate wisely with him in order to get more money from him.

“In the end, the negotiation between ended at N5m and the two parties agreed to meet along Tsafe-Gusau for the final stage of the deal; delivery of the money and handover of the little girl.
He said the news for the release of Hanan has brought joy to the residents of Tsafe, who have been waiting for such a day to come.
Daily Telescope recalled that little Hanan was kidnapped by gunmen in Tsafe town on August 8, 2021 while on her way to Islamiyyah school.

Hanan spent 23 days in captivity before she finally regained freedom.
Kidnapers of the the little girl, Daily Telescope recalled, had earlier demanded N60m ransom from Hanan’s father.
