Raising insecurity: Gov. Masari forecasts food crises

Katsina state Governor, Aminu Bello Masari has said that Nigeria will face serious food crisis in the near future if the raising security challenges remains unabated.

Governor Masari made the disclosure in an interview with newsmen in Katsina recently.

“There will be food crisis in the country if this security issues were not addressed,” Masari warned.

The governor therefore, called for concerted efforts among security agencies to bring to an end the insecurity in the country.

Masari assured that Katsina state government in collaboration with relevant security agencies are working round to clock to ensure farmlands are secure for farming activities across the state.

He noted that government is also working closely with traditional and community leaders as well as non-governmental organizations to find solutions to the lingering security challenges in the state.
