Anambra guber poll: APC’s form cost each aspirant N22.5m

Interesting aspirants for the Anambra state gubernatorial election under the All Progressives Congress (APC) will pay a sum of N22.5m as form fee.

However, female and physically challenged aspirants will enjoy 50 per cent discount of the prescribed fees for each position.

This was contained in the schedule of activities for Anambra state gubernatorial election signed by the Director organization of the party, Professor Al-Mustapha Ussiju Medaner.

According to the schedule, the N2.5m is for expression of interest while the N20m is nomination fee.

The schedule further indicated that the release of the time-table and schedule of activities was in accordance with the provisions of the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) guidelines.

According to the time-table the sales of forms which started on Thursday, April 15, would end on Tuesday, June 18, while last day for submission of completed forms and accompanied documents to APC National Headquarters remained June 8.

Screening of aspirants would be conducted on Thursday 10th June, publication of claims and objections would be done on Saturday 12th June and screening appeals would be heard on Tuesday 15th June.

Primary election would be conducted on Saturday 26th June and election appeals would be heard on Wednesday 30th June.
