Agency warns students against drug abuse

The Director General, Drugs Medical and Consumable Supply Agency, Pharmacist Hisham Imamudeen, has called on the students of Kano State College of Health Sciences and Technology to always be of good character and contribute positively to the building of the society.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Information Officer, Ministry of Health, Hadiza Namadi, a copy of which was made available to Daily Telescope in Kano on Wednesday.

According to her, Pharm. Imamudeen made the call when he received the students posted to the agency for the mandatory Industrial Attachment training.

He said that the orientation of the students at the Drugs Medical and Consumable supply Agency is part of their training curriculum and therefore urged them to be dedicated in using the opportunity to boost their knowledge.

The Director General observed that being respectful, obedient and responsible is a major requirement of any higher education pursuit as a necessary complement to educational attainment .

He, therefore, cautioned them against any dealing with illegal drugs which he said is a major factor that leads to one’s failure in life.

The DG also advised the students to always be good ambassadors of their school and Kano state wherever they might find themselves.

In his remarks, the Class representative, Mansur Magaji, on behalf of the students, thanked the DG for his hospitality, support, and advice and promised outstanding in both character and learning.
